How I got here.

By the time I hit 34 I had spent a decade in Silicon Valley doing the things we're told lead to freedom.

I'd started with no connections but managed to build hypergrowth products at Airbnb and Uber, helping Uber Eats scale to $10B in bookings.

Then I co-founded Launch House and raised $23M, including a $12M Series A from a16z. The final checks came in at a nine-figure valuation. Simultaneously, I'd built what became a 300K+ person audience across platforms.

By every external measure I was killing it.

I was also increasingly miserable.

My cofounder and I were butting heads. A hit piece about my company went viral and Apple News pushed it to a hundred million people. Two years of brand-building gone overnight, not to mention I was in the worst shape of my life and my marriage was falling apart.

When I sat with what had actually gone wrong, the answer was underneath all of it. I had been making decisions that looked right on paper but weren't leading to leverage and the freedom I wanted.

So I made the hardest call of my life. I set up a new LLC with $10k in it, ended my marriage, and moved to Charleston SC (where I knew basically nobody) to build a life that was mine.

It was hard, but not a leap of faith. I spent nearly a year scouting over twenty cities before making the move.

Today I run Rye Valley from Charleston, an AI-native portfolio of companies each built on my systems to help founders build leverage. It's done over $4M in revenue, I'm now in the best shape of my life, and I'm engaged.
